I have a repository on Github, it is private. And there is for example a friend who wants to view it, but not edit it. How to give him access without adding to the team?
- oneItself recently searched. Apparently nothing. - HolyBlackCat 5:03 pm
- @holyblackcat, apparently will only have to be added to the team ... - Alexey Bobrovich
- Formally, there are tokens to which access can be distinguished. But, they seem to be only for applications, not with my eyes. Access only to reading can be organized by the archive - download, transfer to a friend. - Monk
- @monk, so how will tokens help? - Alexey Bobrovich
- For viewing on the githaba itself - for sure. In general, from simple options - to give access through the command, but to ban push in the master for example. - Monk

Go to the repository settings , there are Collaborators - there and add a friend. You can add up to 3 people to the welcome repository.
But it will be essentially complete access to the repository. To give access only to reading, apparently, there is no possibility .
